Moana Pasifika expand reach with new match schedule

5 December 2023

Moana Pasifika

In 2024 more Moana Pasifika fans than ever before will get to see the team play in person. In an endeavour to become more accessible to their loyal supporters, the franchise will play home matches across six different venues.

With their training facility based in Auckland, the city that is home to the greatest Polynesian population in the world, Moana Pasifika is continuing their mission to reach more people across the city and different regions.

Super Rugby Pacific Season three sees the squad relocate their High Performance activity from Go Media Mount Smart Stadium to North Harbour Stadium, where they will play their opening home game against the Melbourne Rebels on Friday the 8th of March.

Their recently announced home match at Eden Park against the Blues on Saturday the 30th of March will take place over Easter Weekend and serves the perfect family activity over the long weekend, with a 4:35pm kick off.

In another first, the squad will also travel north to Semenoff Stadium in Whangārei to play a home game against the Queensland Reds on Friday the 12th of April. The team is looking forward to putting on a show for their fans and giving back to the strong contingent of rugby stalwarts in the Northland community.

To pay homage to their roots, Moana Pasifika will still play two matches at Go Media Mount Smart against the Gallagher Chiefs on Friday the 10th of May, and against the Waratahs on Saturday the 25th of May.

Moana Pasifika will also take on the Highlanders in a new destination outside of Aotearoa for the very first time. Location for the 4th of May match is set to be announced soon.
