Patron and Bag Searches
- All patrons and their possessions may be subject to searches before entering the stadium.
- Searches may also be carried out during an event and when leaving the stadium.
- Patrons who refuse to participate in searches may be denied entry to the stadium and asked to leave the venue.
- All vehicles entering and leaving the stadium may be searched.
- Prohibited items will be confiscated.
Dress Code
All patrons entering Semenoff Stadium must be appropriately dressed. For your own safety and the enjoyment of everyone, please comply with the following:
- Clothing must conform to reasonable standards of decency.
- Footwear is encouraged (enter with bare feet at your own risk). Footwear must be worn inside the building.
- No clothing or signs displaying offensive messages.
- No gang patches, gang paraphernalia or balaclavas.
- No high visibility type vests or jackets that may be confused with security and emergency services staff.
Playing Surface
Patrons are not allowed on the playing area before, during or after sports events. Breach of this rule will result in eviction, and issue of trespass notice.
Access to the playing field may be permitted for certain events, at set times. Please follow the direction of the Ground Announcer and Security.
Patrons may be refused entry to Semenoff Stadium if they:
- Appear intoxicated/under the influence of drugs or exhibit disorderly behaviour.
- Fail to comply with security or gate staff requests.
- Attempt to bring in prohibited items.
- Have been issued with a trespass notice that is current.
- Are not authorised to be in the stadium. For example have no valid entry ticket or accreditation pass.
Patrons will be asked to leave Semenoff Stadium if they:
- Use obscene language.
- Are verbally or physically abusive, or behave in a disorderly or offensive manner.
- Are intoxicated.
- Are carrying out unauthorised activities within the stadium.
- Throw items in the air or onto the pitch (including during Mexican waves).
Patrons may bring the following items into Semenoff Stadium:
- Sealed, clear plastic bottles of water up to 1.5 litres in size.*
- Empty drink bottles to fill up inside the stadium at one of the filtered water fountains (no glass).
- Small amounts of home prepared food for personal consumption.**
- Baby food and liquid.
- Small, soft-sided bag that could fit under your seat.*
- Umbrellas (as long as they do not impede the view of others).*
- Prams, strollers, pushchairs may be brought into the stadium in designated areas only including inside the building and in the Festival Zone (east end) and west gravel area. They may be taken onto the field only during festivals or fireworks.*
*Permitted items may differ for concerts and other large-scale events. Please refer to event listings for permitted items.
**Ample food and beverage is available from outlets at Semenoff Stadium.
Patrons may not bring into Semenoff Stadium:
- Alcohol.
- Beverages (except water).
- Glass bottles or cans.
- Commercially produced takeaway food such as McDonalds, KFC, Subway, pizza etc.
- Chilly bins, picnic baskets or large bags.
- Illicit Drugs.
- Sound amplifiers including loudhailers.
- Radio communication equipment.
- Musical instruments (except with prior permission from Stadium Management).
- Recording devices for commercial purposes including DSLR cameras.
- Drones must not be operated over the stadium unless consent has been provided from Whangarei District Council and Civil Aviation Authority and is booked in with Stadium Management.
- Prams, strollers, pushchairs cannot be taken into the main grandstand, terraces or on the northern embankment. Baby capsules can be taken into these areas.
- Dogs or other pets (disability assist dogs are permitted).
- Flares, fireworks, laser pointers.
- Knives or other dangerous weapons including imitations.
- Skateboards, roller blades, scooters or bicycles.
- Chairs (except at festivals and fireworks – field only).
- Signs or banners that are obscene, offensive or abusive.
- Flag poles of more than two metres in length.
- Any other item that Stadium Management determine may cause injury or public nuisance or inconvenience to any other person.
Smoking
- Semenoff Stadium is smoke free and vape free.
- Smoking and vaping is not permitted inside the stadium including the carpark.
General
- Medical exemptions to the conditions of entry apply (ie food, beverage, hi visibility clothing).
- Corporate suite guests should also refer to the Corporate Suite Conditions of Entry sent to them and displayed inside the suites.
- For the safety and security of patrons, surveillance cameras are in use throughout the stadium. Images may be collected on camera and Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV).
- Patrons must not sit or stand in aisles or block entry doors, emergency exits or accessibility spaces.
- Some events are dangerous. Patrons viewing such activities do so at their own risk.
- Pass outs are available at some but not all events.
- Patrons bring personal items into the stadium, and park in the Stadium Carpark at their own risk. The venue will not be held responsible for any damages to, loss or theft of a patron’s personal property (including vehicles).
- Advertising promotions and product giveaways etc are not permitted on Semenoff Stadium property (this includes the car park areas of the stadium), unless expressly authorised by Stadium Management in writing. Any unauthorised product giveaways will be confiscated.
- No alcohol is to be brought in or removed from the stadium.
- Children under the age of 14 must be supervised by a parent or guardian.
- The Hirer or Venue may film and capture images during this event, for future promotions. It will not always be possible for the Hirer or Venue to get permission from every person in the crowd, so if you do want to opt out of a photo or video, please just let our onsite photographer know or advise Stadium Management.
- Your health and safety are our priority. Please take care of yourself and those around you. Stay aware, stay safe, and enjoy your time at the stadium.
